Junior Golf Development Program:

Casey started his Junior Golf Developmental Program in 1992, since then his program has grown to become the #1 Junior Golf Program in Hawaii.

This year-round program provides instruction by established golf professionals, monthly tournaments, collared shirts, hats, and a monthly newsletter to keep our juniors and parents informed on upcoming events.  The Olomana Golf Links has dedicated every Saturday afternoon to our juniors for course time.  Below are brief descriptions of our classes.

Introductory Session:  This program gives juniors an overview of the game of golf.  Juniors will be exposed to the basic fundamentals, rules, and etiquette of golf.

This program is an eight (8) week course, which meets on Saturdays (11:30 – 12:30 p.m.) or Sundays (10:00 – 11:00 a.m.) for one hour.  Upon completion of this program, juniors continue to Session I.

This program is a total of eight hours at the cost of $155.00 (includes a Casey Nakama Jr. Golf collar-shirt).

Session I:  This program is for juniors with a little experience with the game.  Juniors will be exposed to procedures of playing in a 4-some, while learning more rules and etiquette.  Advancement to Session II will be based upon the improvement of the junior golfer’s skill level and a qualifying test.  Repeating Session I is not a detriment.  Juniors will continue to work on their skills and endurance without apprehensions.

This program is an eight (8) week course, which meets on Saturdays (12:30 – 2:00 p.m.) or Sundays (11:00 – 12:30 p.m.) for 1.5 hours.

The program is a total of 12 hours at different cost intervals.  This cost varies depending on your entry to Session I. The cost for new juniors to Session I is $185.00 (includes a Casey Nakama Jr. Golf collar-shirt & golf cap); juniors who already have a Casey Nakama Jr.  Golf collar-shirt is $165.00 (includes a golf cap); juniors who already have the required Casey Nakama Jr. Golf collar-shirt & golf cap is $150.00.

* Session II:  This program is for those returning juniors who have previously participated in the Casey Nakama Jr. Golf Development Program and have passed the Session I qualifier.  This session focuses on developing their short game.  The returning students know the routine and will continue to work on their skills and endurance for tournament play and continue to attain their “White Cap” status. Juniors registering for Session II should already have the required Casey Nakama Jr. Golf collar-shirt & golf cap.  The cost for this program is $165.00.

* White, Black, & Red Caps:  This program is for those returning juniors who have attained their “White Caps” through qualifying in Session II and moving toward attaining their “Black Caps & Red Caps”.  This session focuses on developing their long game.  This means tee boxes will be brought further back from the greens depending on their age division.  Strategy, golf course management and club selection will be emphasized.
